Road to the 2007 Dauphiné Libéré

2007 Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré gets underway
Sunday
The second biggest stage race in France, the Criterium du Dauphiné
Libéré, starts Sunday June 10 with a 4.2km
prologue in Grenoble. The race will finish Sunday June
17 in Annecy .
The stages are as follows:
Prologue : Sunday June 10, Grenoble / Grenoble - 4,2 Km
Stage 1 : Monday June 11, Grenoble / Roanne - 219 Km
Stage 2 : Tuesday June 12, Saint-Paul-en-Jarez / Saint-Etienne - 157
Km
Stage 3 : Wednesday June 13, Anneyron / Anneyron - 40,7 Km
Stage 4 : Thursday June 14, Hauterives / Le Mont-Ventoux - 197 Km
Stage 5 : Friday June 15, Nyons / Digne-les-Bains - 195 Km
Stage 6 : Saturday June 16, Gap / Valloire - 198 Km
Stage 7 : Sunday June 17, Valloire / Annecy - 129 Km

The Euskal Bizikleta race got underway today in Spain. There

Notes:
- Tomorrow (Monday) we will turn our attention
to the Criterium du Dauphiné Libéré which
starts just one week from today. (June 10-17) American
Levi Leipheimer of Discovery Channel is back in France
to defend his 2006 win at this important tune-up race for the
Tour de France . Leipheimer will be joined
by, among others, teammates Alberto Contador, George Hincapie, Stijn
Devolder and Dauphine newcomer Tom Danielson
who hopes to ride his first Tour next month.

now playing the Giro as the peloton rolls toward Milan carrying
2007 Giro d'Italia winner Danilo Di Luca of the
Liquigas team.

- Eurosport live audio streams are playing

are now live.
- We have a limited number of
official race event posters
from various races including Liege-Bastogne-Liege
, the Dauphine Libere, Tour de France
and Grand Prix des Nations that we will be
making available here later in the season. These posters,
which often feature stunning graphics design, are meant for race
promotion locally and are only available at the races.

Gusev has won the Tour of Belgium
time trial and also takes the jersey of overall leader.
Sébastien Rosseler finished second in
the TT and Danielson ended up with a fine third.
- News flash:
Discovery Channel's Vladimir Gusev has
topped teammate Danielson's time in the Tour of Belgium time
trial .
- News flash:
American Tom Danielson (Discovery Channel)
currently has the best time in today's 16.7km individual
time trial at the Tour of Belgium .
- The Tour of Belgium got underway Wednesday
and finishes on Sunday. You can find live tickers

Tour de France organizer ASO announced
today that the Agritubel, Astana and
Barloworld teams have been selected as
wild cards for this year's Tour. (source:

- There is very high demand for the RAI Sport
live video stream, as you'd expect. The gazzetta.it live video
feed should begin in a little while and we are hoping that the
Norwegian feed will show the race on the climb to Monte Zoncolan
as well.
- Some Eurosport live audio streams (including
the UK feed with Sean Kelly) are now playing the

of tomorrow's big stage of the Giro d'Italia
should begin at around 14:50 CET (8:50am U.S. Eastern).
- You won't want to miss tomorrow's
monster Stage 17 to Monte Zoncolan . Fireworks
guaranteed.
