- Tomorrow's Giro d'Italia Stage 11 departs Urbania at 11:55 CET (5:55am U.S. Eastern) and is expected in Cesena between 17:01 and 17:36 CET (11:01 and 11:36am U.S. Eastern).  Giro live coverage on cycling.tv is scheduled to begin at 14:55 CET (8:55am U.S. Eastern).  The NRK Giro live streams should start at around 14:50 CET (8:50am U.S. Eastern).  The RAI Sport broadcast schedule says 15:10 CET (9:10am U.S. Eastern).  Live coverage on Eurosport is scheduled to begin at 15:00 CET (9am U.S. Eastern).


- Eurosport UK live audio flash:  English audio feed is working once again.  (Thanks, Robert in Sydney, Australia.)

- It took 15 minutes but we finally got in to the Giro live video stream at cycling.tv  (English commentary by Anthony McCrossan and Brian Smith).

- Some of you have noted that the Eurosport UK audio feed is no longer working.  We're monitoring the situation and looking again for an alternative.

- Giro live coverage has begun on NRK.

Start order and times for today's Time Trial:

- Riders start at one-minute intervals.  The final 20 riders start at two-minute intervals.

- There may be modifications to the start order so that no two teammates start back to back.

The first rider in tomorrow's 39.4km individual time trial departs at 13:00 CET (7:00am U.S. Eastern).  Live coverage on cycling.tv is scheduled to begin at 15:00 CET (9am U.S. Eastern).   NRK and Eurosport live coverage are also scheduled to begin at that time.  Rai Sport live broadcast scheduled to begin at 15:15 CET (9:15am U.S. Eastern).


Today is the first rest day of the 2008 Giro d'Italia.  We will post information regarding tomorrow's important individual time trial later today and resume our Giro live coverage tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the 88th Volta a Catalunya starts today and runs through May 25.  We are monitoring a possible live video stream for this race and will post links if it indeed checks out.  ( Update:  looks like no live stream available, not today anyway.)

2008 Tour of Italy: Riccardo Ricco (Saunier Duval) wins Stage 8 2008 Giro d'Italia: Riccardo Ricco (Saunier Duval) wins yesterday's Stage 8 ahead of Paolo Bettini (Quick Step) and Davide Rebellin (Gerolsteiner).  It was the second stage win in the race thus far for the bold Italian, just 24.

In yesterday's  L'EQUIPE:
Riccardo Ricco has accused Alberto Contador
of hiding his game, coming to Italy to steal the Giro,
and taking advantage of the work of his rivals on climbs.
Ricco's teammate, Leonardo Piepoli, added: "A Tour de France
winner should not behave in this manner."
